I Purchased my Ford ka 2 on the 25 Febuary 1999. It was an EX Arnold Clark demonstrator and had a reassonable 22,000 miles on the clock.
The car lasted 2 months until the first modification was done to replace the standard stereo with the ultimate Kenwood stealth system. The dision was also made to replace the Ford speakers with Sony custom fits and this was all done by the local Halfords.
The next job was new tyres, i hate having different types front and rear, with Hankook radials, the point being i am getting alloys soon. That task was taken by none other than Kwick-fit.
Next mission was to change the discs and pads as i was going to use the Ka for a track day, yes a track day - in a ka!!!, so EBC Greenstuff was chosen for pads and also a new set of solid discs courtsey of EBC and as for the track day the Ka survived and the brakes showed no signs of fade round the tight turns of knockhill.
Before the trackday i also changed the oil to Mobil 1 (0w~40) along with the filter and at the same time joined up for the Mobil 1 Track record scheme.
I now have bigger and better plans for the Ka but you will have to wait and see!!!
if you wish to talk Ka then e-mail me Iain Holt and don't forget to join the Ka mailing list at: http://fordka.cjb.net
